Glad rags, togs and clobber
Gerry Turvey and Sam Lawrence invaded the Festival Shop with their own brand of highly energetic dance performance. With the help of a rather large quantity of clothes, the dancers created a highly visual and physical piece full of humour, with a taste for adventure and with an awful lot of bras!
Turveyworld's Choreography in unusual places has brought exciting performances to surprised audiences. Gerry has been creating public dance performances in different sites and areas of both City and other environments for the past twenty years.

Shoppers on the wet Saturday afternoon on Armley's Town Street stopped in their tracks, as they saw Gerry Turvey and Sam Lawrence emerge from a pile of clothes on floor of the old Co-op dressed nothing but their long johns and the aforementioned double Js.
Over the next 20 minutes they danced, dressed and undressed, within the bounds of decency, of course, to the amusement and appreciation of the shoppers and passing motorists. I had an inside seat, i had an inside seat...more
